Hello All, I am in the process of developing a performance piece about peaceful resistance to the War of 1812 by conciencious objectors of the time. I am trying to find material such as letters and articles written by some of these folk. Also I would love to use some songs or hymns that might have been used by people who for religious reasons did not want to participate. Any help with this gratefully appreciated. In light of the fact that May 15 is International Conscientious Objector Day, I encourage you to spread the news about the below initiative:
The Canadian War Resisters Support Campaign (WRSC) is urging all to address the issue of Operational Bulletin 202, and how it affects US Iraq war resisters who come to Canada. (see link to background info below):
